In this clip, B-Real speaks about Mellow Man Ace finding success before Cypress Hill with “Mentirosa,” which was a pioneering song for the spanglish hip-hop sound. He went on to speak about DJ Muggs also having success before the group with a couple of songs, and B-Real revealed that Sen Dog was backing up Mellow Man Ace at one time. When asked about the group’s original name, “DVX,” which stood for “Devastating Vocal Excellence,” B-Real cringed and said that it was cool at the time. He went on to speak about being the last person to join the group, which you can hear more about above.
