In the latest clip, CeCe Peniston described being embraced by the LGBTQ+ community as a result of her success in the Dance music genre. After discussing her appreciation for the fan base, the singer also pointed out that she has additional fanbases in Jazz, Gospel, and EDM. During the remainder of the clip, CeCe described touring with Joe, Cover Girls, Levert, and R. Kelly — the latter of whom she says she barely saw on tour and doesn’t really know.
She also talked about her debut album going quintuple platinum due to three number one singles. After guessing that the album has gone diamond since it was last certified, she talked about “Finally” being sampled by multiple genres and ending up in 10,000 bodies of work. CeCe revealed that she became a millionaire eight months into her record deal and described the pressure and changes that came with the change in lifestyle. She also described being pigeonholed as a Dance artist, the lessons she later learned as a major label artist, and how she’s adapted to the current times.
