Dr. Khan stopped by VladTV to speak about working on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, and he started out by explaining how he decided to become a doctor. Dr. Khan detailed becoming infatuated with doctors after his grandmother passed away of complications from diabetes when he was 8. He went on to speak about going pre-med in undergrad and going to Michigan State University for medical school, which was an additional 4 years of schooling. He then added that he did 3 years of residency, for a total of 11 years of post-secondary schooling, and 22 years total of going to school.

Dr. Khan also spoke about the coronavirus first appearing on his radar and when he and his colleagues began to take the virus seriously. Dr. Khan explained the difference between the COVID-19 virus and other viruses within the coronavirus family and why it seems to be spreading at such a rapid rate.
