In this clip, Freeway Ricky gave his take on the NBA players going on a brief strike in wake of the Jacob Blake shooting. Freeway Ricky reacted to Craig Hodges’s story about attempting to get Jordan and Magic to strike but the two superstars declined. Freeway said it’s because Magic and Jordan aren’t black. He believes their celebrity status has allowed them to transcend race thereby disconnecting them from the trials and tribulations of everyday blackness.
Later, Vlad and Freeway Ricky spoke about the importance of this November’s election and how crucial voter turnout will be in getting Trump out of office.
