Prior to acting, however, Leon was a basketball star which afforded him the opportunity to go to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles on a scholarship, While at LMU, Leon was approached by a student filmmaker who wanted him in a film which kick-started Leon’s acting career. He soon began landing acting roles in big-budget films alongside actors like Tom Cruise and Matt Dillon.
