In this clip, Russell Peters detailed how he got into comedy. Russell explained that he didn’t have much direction early in life and coming from a blue collar family made it much more difficult using the traditional modes of upward mobility i.e. college to make it. Russell also recounted getting on stage for the first time after a cousin of his sparked the idea, in addition to his brother taking him around to different comedy nights to get a sense of what the craft entailed.
