The ever hustling 50 Cent has announced that he has partnered with MTV to bring a new reality show to the network. “The Money and the Power“, will debut November 6 at 10:00 PM, and will take 14 aspiring moguls and put them in a training camp called “Camp Curtis.” The show will set the contestants up with challenges and exercises designed to hone their business skills. Like other shows of this nature one contestant will be voted off each week until only one is left standing. The grand prize they will receive at the end is $100,000 and assistance from 50 to help pursue their music dreams.
50 will not be the only familiar face on the show as LL Cool J, Aubry O’Day of Danity Kane, Lloyd Banks, and blogger Miss Info are all scheduled to make appearances and throw special challenges at the group. 50’s underboss Tony Yayo will of course be on the show serving as…what else, 50’s underboss! Yayo says his role in the show is to be 50’s eyes when he’s not around and to make sure the contestants are doing what they are supposed to.
It is not yet known who the contestants will be but 50 says it will take “business flair, strength, ambition, and fearlessness,” to make it to the end of the road. He also adds that he wants to give people a realistic view of “the hard work and sacrifice required to make in it the music business.” Well if anybody knows about hard work and sacrifice it’s him so I definitely will be tuning in.
