Larue Graves, 30, formerly of Aliquippa, BeaverCounty, is charged with homicide in the November 9th killing of Shelton Lemarr Flowers. The murder in question took place in November of last year. Flowers, 30, of Wilkinsburg, PA, was fatally shot near a concession stand inside a Loews multiplex shortly after watching Get Rich.

The fight reportedly broke out into the multiplex’s bathroom before spilling out onto the concession stand where the shots were fired. Police said the two men had been beefing since they spent time in jail together roughly ten years ago.

Graves’ lawyer, Lisa g. Middleman, contended that the flick’s drug references and gun violence have nothing to do with the murder case and would push the jury against his client. Attorneys began selecting jurors to hear the case this morning. While the jury will hear the movie’s title, Judge John K. Reilly Jr. ruled that they won’t hear details of the movie during the trial.
