Despite his two recent concert incidents, Akon revealed that he has no intention of changing his stage show.
As previously reported, cameras captured Akon throwing a concertgoer into the crowd during one show in Fishkill, NY back in June. Roughly two months before, the crooner caused controversy by bringing a 15-year-old onstage for “lewd” dancing in Trinidad. Still, the Senegalese singer won’t let the controversy restrict his stage show.
“Nah! It don’t affect my performance at all, whatsoever. You gotta know that it comes with the territory,” Akon explained.
“The more successful you get, the more stuff is gonna come from
different angles. It’s about who attacks these issues the best.”
With plans of releasing up to six singles to support his multi-platinum Konvicted, Akon is currently preparing to drop a video for “Sorry Blame Me,” a song in which he apologizes for the Trinidad scandal.
