Earlier today in London, singer Amy Winehouse was laid to rest. A private funeral was held at Edgwarebury Cemetery, with family and friends in attendance including Kelly Osbourne, “Back to Black” producer Mark Ronson and recent boyfriend, filmmaker Reg Traviss.
Winehouse, 27, was found dead in bed at her north London home on Saturday.
Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, gave a touching speach, plaid music and told stories of his daughter’s childhood. He ended his speach by telling Amy to “sleep tight”.
The 45-minute ceremony was led by a Rabbi and included prayers in English and Hebrew.
During Mitch Winehouse’s eulogy, he said, “Goodnight my angel … Sleep tight. Mommy and Daddy love you ever so much.”
The ceremony ended with a rendition of the Carole King song, “So Far Away” … while Mitch encouraged mourners to sing along.
