Asher Roth & BoB College Show Coming Under Fire

A college concert at  The Virginia Commonwealth University featuring Asher Roth and BoB is coming under heavy fire due to the performers seemingly inappropriate lyrical content. The  two acts have already been paid in advance $100,000 for the show after they were selected by the student body for the annual free concert.  However after the announcement was made several groups have come out and said that Asher’s music in particular promotes drug use, alcoholism, and casual sex.

“Having this artist come to the campus normalizes inappropriate, illegal and unhealthy behaviors,” said Denise D. Miller, president for the Regional Drug Free Alliance and chairwoman for the Parents Council of Commonwealth Parenting.

As of now the show will go on as the VCU stands by it’s decision to allow these acts to perform. The VCU has made no comments on the matter.

Rick Ross Comments On T.I. Collaboration

Rick Ross has worked with a number of big time artists in the game including Jay-Z and current foe Young Jeezy. However there was still one collabo we had never heard and in case your wondering why Ross has cleared the air on why it took so long for him and the King Of The South, T.I. to do a record together.

“I felt the time was right for me and T.I. [to work together],” Ross said in an interview. “We had never personally collaborated with each other on a record one on one. Early on in my career, I had said [negative] things when I didn’t know him. Just us being bosses and us being leaders and us being examples, we bossed up. We both did. He came from home doing what he did. I did my thing…Just on a mutual respect for each other, I reached out to him. When I got that verse back, I was like, ‘He meant that.’ We had been seeing each other over a period of time, saluting each other, bumping into each other, he knew I was a fan of his. We captured that moment in time which was one of the dopest records.” (MTV)
