An employee of G-Unit boss 50 Cent is facing assault and gun charges for allegedly pistol-whipping a nightclub promoter in Connecticut last week.

Dwayne “Hove” McKenzie, who lives at Fif’s Farmington mansion, allegedly struck Howard Allison after a verbal altercation escalated outside Club Life in Hartford, according to local Connecticut paper theHartford Courant.

The disagreement allegedly began when Allison refused to announce an after party to be held at Fif’s house. Reportedly, McKenzie drove up to Allison and asked him to promote
the after party. Allison then told McKenzie, “You don’t call someone up
threatening to smack them because they don’t big you up in the club.”
McKenzie allegedly then jumped out of his Cadillac Escalade and hit
Allison in the chin and again in his right eye with a pistol.

Ironically, only two months ago, Mckenzie lost the right to carry a gun after shooting at a man who tried to rob him. Yet a police search of McKenzie’s vehicle this Sunday (October 14) yielded a 9 MM and another handgun.

McKenzie’s lawyer Gerald M. Klein clarified this summer’s situation in a statement to the Courant. “He was the victim in that case,” Klein said. “He was being robbed
and he had a pistol permit.” He added that the charges of discharging a
weapon were dropped and that the charges were filed after someone stole
a $100,000 necklace from McKenzie outside a downtown night spot.

McKenzie is currently being held on $750,000 bail, reduced from the
$1.5 mil. that had held him since Sunday (October 14) . He’s slated to
be released shortly and is due back in court November 6.
