As the industry steady changes, it looks like Cash Money mogul will be taking a page out of Jay-Z book. Bryan “Birdman” Williams along side brother and Co founder of Cash Money records Ronald “Slim” Williams who started Cash Money Record back in 1991 with a dream to turn their life around and get out the projects of New Orleans are making moves to expand their portfolio. Forbes is reporting that, Cash Money records has filed a patent and Trademark for “Visionaire sports group”. To branch into sports agency services, management, representation and promotion of professional athletes and hoping to launch in 2014.

This will be a great power move for the Cash Money/Young money family as they have shown great management skills in Hip Hop industry such as Drake who has sold over 5 Million albums worldwide, Nikki Minaj who has revitalized female rappers in a male dominated era selling over 4 million copies of her debut album as well as transitioning her to a house hold name when she became a judge on American Idol.

The question however will be…. Can they transition that to the world of sports? And will they look to Roc Nation sports for guidance and possibly become allies taking the sport industry by storm or will they battle for the top spot in the sports industry as well. Only time will tell…
