New York, NY – Beastie Boys are definitely considered pioneers within the Hip-Hop industry as their career spans literally four decades. Since their first album, ‘Licensed to Ill,’ debuted in 1986, the group was a talented bunch to be reckoned with. Their fusion of Rock and Rap into the elements of their music made them a fan favorite literally overnight. Within that time span, four their albums: ‘Licensed to Ill, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty, and To The 5 Boroughs,’ in that order make the billboard album charts since 1986.

After several delays into the release of the Beastie Boys latest album, the sequel to their Hot Sauce Committee, a date has finally been set the members. The reason for the delays earlier during the first announcements was due to the fact that member Adam Yauch (Ad-Rock) was diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland during the summer of 2009, that subsequently halted all work and any tour performances that were scheduled for the time being, until Yauch could overcome the cancer. Yauch eventually underwent surgery, recovered, and has received a clean bill of health sometime last spring was more than prepared to get back to work.

This past Sunday (March 13) Yauch posted an announcement on the group’s official website stating:

“Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission. They held their secret tightly. On May 3rd the Hot Sauce Committee Part Two will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens.”

Mike D then followed up on Monday (March 14) posting the album’s cover, a series of colorful geometric shapes that looks like a real pixilated collage.
