According to Radaronline.com the two are partnering with radio personality Wendy Williams and former Vibe Editor-In-Chief Mimi Valdes, who lost her position when BlackBook owner Ari Horowitz purchased Vibe in July. The group is planning to put together a new magazine, tentatively titled The Truth, which has been described as an urban In Touch magazine. Valdes will edit the publication, which is reportedly scheduled to launch later this fall.

While none of the parties involved have responded to these reports, a source for Radaronline.com close to Mays told the site, “I can tell you that it’s not a hundred percent, it’s a zillion percent true. It’s confirmed.”

After founding The Source 18 years ago, Mays was removed by the magazine’s board of directors this January along with Benzino, who was president of the magazine for a long period of time. Valdes also worked for The Source before being hired at Vibe.
