This August 25th will mark the 10 year anniversary of the tragic and untimely death of R&B superstar Aaliyah. In celebration of her life and musical legacy, BET will be airing a special tribute next month.

The special will feature a host of celebrities and music industry insiders who will share their memories of the fallen star.

Aaliyah, along with eight others, perished in a plane crash shortly after takeoff in The Bahamas in 2001. Aaliyah was shooting her last video for “Rock The Boat”. Check out the video:
