For all my Beyonce’ stans and fans, we finally have a title! Bey’s new album is going to be titled 4 according to sources. Here’s what the ‘Crazy in Love’ diva said while speaking to Billboard Magazine in regards to the name:
“We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me. It’s
the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’
birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date…”. Later in the interview she also explains the split with her former manager, her father Matthew Knowles: “It’s not that anything bad happened between us. My family has my
support always, and they support me, but when you’ve been working with
the same people for 15 years, it’s natural to eventually have your own
ideas….We were ata point where we’d so much from each other, and now it’s
exciting for me to do this on my own and hire my own team. I’ve started
managing myself.”
I guess Bey-mania is about to hit us like a ton of bricks really soon. She may need to reconsider that management decision though. “Girls (Who Run The World)” is crawling up the charts at a very slow pace, and musically, it pales in comparison to any other song she’s ever done. EVER. But then again…I wasn’t too sure about “Single Ladies” until the video dropped either so maybe this will be a case of deja vu (no pun). Looking forward to 4 though! Who else?
