Former Hot Boyz group member B.G. will be flexing his solo muscle this December, gearing up to drop his latest album this December.

According to Billboard, B.G. will be releasing his latest release, Too Hood To Be Hollywood, on December 4, only two weeks prior to the release of former Cash Money label mate Lil’ Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter III, which is slated to hit shelves on December 18.

Hoping to show his growth with this latest effort, B.G. says that the new album will be a progression from his previous work and that he took a slightly different approach when making this record. “My style has changed and I’ve grown as person,” said B.G. “I was real open-minded when I made this record. I’ve got one of the best A&R [reps] in the business, Jean Nelson, and we’ve come up with a vision to make a classic album that’s going to go down in the hall of fame.”

Too Hood To Be Hollywood will reportedly be the platform for collaborations with several of hip hop’s elite producers and up and coming beat makers including Mannie Fresh, Polow Da Don, Scott Storch, Nitti, and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, among others. The New Orleans-bred MC is also set to share mic time with Young Jeezy and T.I., who will also be executive producing the album.

“T.I. is executive producing my album, but I ain’t signed to Grand Hustle,” said B.G., who signed a distribution deal through Atlantic Records for his own Chopper City imprint. “I expect Atlantic Records to go hard as I go. I’m gonna give 150 percent.”

To promote Too Hood, B.G. is also set to release a DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Drama collaboration mixtape that will be made available virally in the weeks to come.
