Bobby Brown suffered a mild heart attack and was hospitalized in California last night.

According to TMZ, Brown’s attorney, Phaedra Parks attributes the attack to “stress and diet.” “He has been examined and doctors determined there is no blockage, but inflammation of the heart,” Parks said.

The attorney also clarified that Brown did not, in fear of his death, record a video message for friends and family, as previously reported.

The self-proclaimed King of R&B is set to perform on Saturday
(October 13) at the “Taste of Soul” and Parks said he still has
intentions of taking the stage, though it’s not clear if he’ll be able
to.

“Bobby is doing good. He is in good spirits. It’s a serious
condition, and I’m very concerned about him,” Parks said. “Bobby is
very happy with the outpouring of calls and messages. We ask people to
keep him in their thoughts and prayers.”
