It has just been reported that Khandi’s (former Xscape member and Real Housewives of Atlanta star) ex-fiancee AJ Jewell has died. According to several reports, Jewell was killed last night in an Atlanta strip club called the Body Tap. Khabrein.info reports:

“Jewell suffered severe head injuries following a fight. He was taken to a hospital and died on arrival. No arrests have been made. AJ Jewell’s engagement to Kandi Buruss caused conflict on the show between Kandi and her mother, and the engagement was called off just a few months ago.  Kandi is the legal guardian of AJ’s twin 12 year old daughters (Jewell has six children), and Kandi’s rep has confirmed the news. Such a sad situation, especially with Jewell having children, our condolences go out to his family.”

Several reports say that AJ was killed during a brawl and stabbed fatally.  Some claim that AJwas actually the co-owner of the strip club and he was involved in a fight that took place in the parking lot. It was later found that AJ succumbed to severe head injuries and NOT a stabbing. According to Kandi’s publicist, she is “stunned and speechless.”

It was previously reported that both Khandi and AJ had decided to call off their engagement, even telling sources that her and Aj were on a “haitus.”  Wendysista.blogspot.com reports:

“It’s official — and not so unexpected — Kandi Burruss and her fiancè AJ Jewell aren’t getting married. After making not so subtle hints about the status of their engagement, Kandi was on “The Frank & Wanda Morning Show” in Atlanta last week where she told listeners she and AJ are “on hiatus.” If you recall, during the taping of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Kandi said they were only together for “seven to eights months now.” Plus, her mother was not feeling him — especially because he has six kids with four different women. Also during the interview with Frank and Wanda, Kandi admitted that AJ once dated Tiny, her former Xscape bandmate and TI’s baby’s mother, according to the folks over at Clutch magazine.”

So what does all of this mean for Khandi and her spot on the Real Housewives of Atlanta? Not sure, but I’m thinking she most likely won’t want to do another season now.

“Atlanta police spokesman James Polite says Fredrick Richardson has been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell. Richardson was hospitalized after the alleged fight and will be taken into custody once he is released.”

No other information has been giving as of yet. We will keep you updated on this situation. Our condolences go out to Khandi and AJ’s family.
