Busta Rhymes Discusses New Album ‘Back On My B.S.’

New York, NY – The veteran Flipmode mogul has much to be pleased about as of late as his most recent album, ‘Back On My B.S.,’ was just released. Busta Rhymes, who is far from retirement, is still performing all over the world providing the best in entertainment with all his top chart hits, old school and new school. For an artist who’s been in the game close to two decades definitely has plenty of tracks to fill his stage presence. And with a new album, all those hit singles adds more to his discography.

Busta recently sat down and spoke with MTV News about his latest album after a concert in Manhattan, New York He expressed his excitement with the album and what was included in the making that took almost 3 years to complete.

These were his comments:

I feel like the Mighty Thor, I just feel phenomenal right now. I’m excited. It’s 24 hours before my birthday; it’s the day of my release date. It’s Malcolm X’s birthday. It’s one of the greatest days in hip-hop. As far as retail, this the biggest day of the year as far as album releases, Lionel Richie, Ruben Studdard, Eminem, Redman and Method Man, DJ Drama, me. We’re kinda reminding people that music is one of the most important elements in the entire world of entertainment, it’s still the face of entertainment.”

He continued adding that he was pleased of how the fans reacted to his new material as he presented to them on stage:

“’Give Em What They Askin’ For,’ that’s a joint that was produced by Ron Browz — and again, I’m trying to implement the boom-bap, because it’s time for the records to feel like when you in the club … they’re knocking your block off, and they still got lyrics to ’em and they still making you feel good with the catchy choruses.

“Two records … that were both produced by DJ Scratch, ‘Wheel of Fortune’ [and] ‘I’m a Go and Get My …,’ those songs consist of that boom-bap as well. ‘I’m a Go and Get My …’ is more of a concept record. ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is more of that traditional club banger, a spaz-in-the-club, wild-out-in-the-club type of joint. Then we got a joint produced by Pharrell, ‘Kill Dem.’ It’s a big-up to the West Indian community, which is me freaking it the Jamaican patois. Then I had to do one of the biggest and most personal records to me, called ‘Decision,’ which [features] Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, John Legend and Common. I’m back on my B.S. for real, B!”

‘Back On My B.S.’ was released on Tuesday (May 19). Check the album review in our 24hourhiphop.com review section.

50 Cent Releases ‘OK, You’re Right’ Online

New York, NY – The Aftermath saga continues. After the epic release of Eminem’s new album after 5 years, you really think that 50 wouldn’t try to steal some of that spotlight of Em. ‘Relapse’ graced the shelves of stores this past Tuesday (May 19) to a world of anxious Slim Shady fans. That album should keep them at bay until the second installment to ‘Relapse’ is released sometime towards the end of the year.

Apparently, the completion of Em’s album doesn’t necessarily mean that Dre’s work is done, as a matter fact not even half of his work is complete. He is still in the process of completing 50’s upcoming album since he is next in line to release his recent LP. ‘Before I Self Destruct’ is next up to plate for Aftermath and Interscope has he patiently waited since last year for the album to drop. Now it seems as though his anxious motives to release any new material has gotten 50 wary of waiting. According to Thisis50.com, the Dre produced track, ‘Ok, You’re Right’ has been posted on the site.

Here is the chorus line from the track:

When they talk about me, they say I be trippin’/What they say about me doesn’t make me mad/ I think they hatin’ ’cause they see me when I’m rollin’/ Man, I can’t help it if they really doin’ bad.”

G-Unit member Tony Yayo recently told MTV News his thoughts on the album. According to him the album is a classic. These were his comments:

50 got some crack. 50 got some unexplainable records. He’s just waiting. The thing with 50, the nigga is addicted to being a perfectionist. He’ll wait. He’s not like these other niggas that gotta rush to make a album. 50’s got millions. The average artist is rushing an album because they want that advance money. They gotta pay their bills. Nah, that nigga’s good. He won’t put out anything until shit’s right. You already know when he’s this quiet; he’s got a master plan. He’s got something up his sleeve.”

At press time, 50 states that his new album ‘Before I Self Destruct’ should be released in June with a follow up a month after Eminem’s sequel.
