Cam’ron and Mase Reunite for ‘Bigger Project’

New York, NY – It has been several years since we’ve heard Cam’ron and Mase on the same track let alone even seen speaking to each other. The last time Cam and Mase was even in the studio together was during the time of their reign as the underground Hip-Hop group, Children of Corn with the late great Big L. Even as childhood friends, their history follows a close timeline. Different sources close to the two artists have stated that they’ve resolved their differences and have been friends for some time now.

Both Harlem MCs recently recorded a track together entitled ‘Get It,’ that track was released this passing weekend and gained immediate attention including New York radio personality, Miss Info. She posted the new track on her website as an exclusive. According to Info, more tracks are on the way waiting for release as this collaboration is part of a bigger project

Miss Info recently spoke with MTV News and gave a little more insight into the project between Cam and Mase that is being kept under wraps for the time being.

There were her comments:

“What was so shocking is that no one’s really seen them together or anything like that. Nobody knew they squashed some of their old disputes. But behind the scenes, they had resolved their issues, and they’ve been friends for a little while now. Last year, they got together, they played ball, in Jersey or somewhere like that, from what I understand. The friendship has already been in the works, which is what I like about how this record came outta nowhere. It’s not a fabricated publicity stunt, which is what some people were thinking it was. They didn’t get together only for a record. They were already friends.”

It has been recently reported that Mase has been heavily in the studio working on another return album to be released sometime late this year or during the 1st quarter of 2010. No confirmation has been released as yet on whether or not both Cam and Mase will release collaboration ‘Best of Both Worlds’ style album.

Re-release of T.I.’s Paper Trail Shelved

New York, NY – The anticipation into the re-release of the chart topping ‘Paper Trail’ by T.I. has been on the rise since news about the LP hit media outlets several months ago. The marketing tool was apparently an idea between the Bankhead native and his label Atlantic to apparently hold down his fans until his release from prison early next year. Now with news recently hitting media outlets that will disappoint many of his fans, it seems as though that re-release will never see the light of day.

Even during the several months of marketing the album, there was never a confirmed release date. While different retail outlets and certain media stated an August 18 release, that date was never confirmed by Atlantic. The re-release was in the process and had already confirmed 5 new tracks to be released alongside the original album with a new title dubbed simply as ‘Paper Trail: Cased Closed.’ Those five tracks were set to include the recent ‘Remember Me’ featuring Mary J. Blige, and tracks featuring collaborations from fellow ATL natives The Dream and Ciara. The video for ‘Remember Me’ recently aired on MTV this past Tuesday.

Representatives from Atlantic recently spoke with MTV News stating that the album has been shelved indefinitely:

“The re-release is definitely not happening. We plan on releasing the additional songs digitally.”
