Charges Dropped Against Jay-Z’s Bodyguard
According to TMZ reports, the charges against Jay-Z’s security guard who got into an altercation with a paparazzo have been dropped. Even with previous reports that Jay-Z may have had some involvement in this incident, the charges have been thrown out.
HipHopDX reports:
“According to NME.com, the bodyguard was hired by the music superstars during the vacation. In the video, the trio are followed by persistent paparazzi while they walk through the streets of Dubrovnik. As Jay and Beyonce and the bodyguard made their way onto a boat, somone threw what appeared to be a tripod, hitting the the bodyguard (refered to as “Julius” in the video). The bodyguard, despite the protests of Jay-Z, got off the boat and approached the paparazzi. What transpired immediately happened offscreen. However, moments later, the bodyguard was back on the boat and tossed the tripod into the water. In lieu of facing an assault charge and another separate charge for destroying personal property, the unnamed man will pay a fine to avoid further legal action.”
Allegedly, one of the photographers present made a statement to the police and they are attempting to find him for further questioning. There has been no official statement made from Beyonce or Jay-Z regarding the incident and neither of them have yet to admit any involvement in the incident.
Shooting Takes Place Following A Fabolous Concert
Several reports have indeed confirmed that there was a shooting that took place at Fabolous’ concert on August 23, 2009 in a venue in Pennsylvania. Reports say that the concert ended with a man and a woman both being shot and rushed to a nearby hospital. The performance had already ended and the shooting took place in the venue’s parking lot shortly after. Allentown Morning Call reports:
“A man and a woman were shot outside Crocodile Rock Cafe on Hamilton Street in downtown Allentown early this morning following a rap concert, according to city police. The shooting occurred in Crocodile Rock’s parking lot off S. Sixth Street around 2:30 a.m. and the two people who were shot were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by ambulance, said Allentown Capt. Dean Schwartz. Schwartz said the investigation into the shooting continues.”
More details have been revealed regarding this issue including the time and place of the shooting. According to WFMZ:
“The victims were shot just before 2:30 a.m. at a parking lot off of 6th and Type Streets, just south of Hamilton Street. The man had been shot in his face, and the woman suffered a bullet wound to her arm, according to investigators.”
The Singers Room reports that this isn’t exactly the first time that violence has erupted at the Crocodile Rock Café.
“This is the second time violence has erupted at the Crocodile Rock Cafe. In 2006, four people were in need of medical care after a fight broke out when rapper Juelz Santana canceled his set.”
People are really getting out of hand. From beating paparazzi to shooting at a concert; Hip-Hop is just not safe these days! So far, those are the only details that have been released as of yet. Fabolous has yet to make a statement.
