The B.E.T Awards has taken some flack over the years for not being as exciting as it used to be.Weather it’s because of acts not showing up or performers not being at there best.This year was not too different but there were a few highlights like Diddy’s Bad Boy 20 year reunion set to Smokey Robinson’s life time award.

Beyonce won video of the year for her single 7-11 she beat out Chris Brown,Tyga and Big Sean.The best new artist category was a bit of a shock when pop signer Sam Smith snatched the title from Dej Loaf,Fetty Wap,Rae Sremmurd,Bobby Shmurdah and Tinashe.Beyonce also took home best female R&b pop artist.While Chris Brown claimed his award for the same title,the best collaboration award went to Common & Jhon legend for there work together on Selma.
