With rumors hit the net last week that R&B superstar Chris Brown had a sexual affair with his manager, the just-turned-18 performer has recently released a statement, denying the account.

“Chris Brown and his manager Tina Davis have a strictly professional relationship,”
the statement reads. “Ms. Davis has been instrumental in helping Chris
achieve success as a multi-talented singer/dancer/actor. Rumors that
the relationship goes beyond a working one are not only patently false,
they diminish her efforts and his undeniable talents.”

The story allegedly came from a single source close to Brown and was originally reported by notorious gossip columnist Sandra Rose. “My source tells me exclusively that Chris Brown has been
intimate with his manger since she met him at the tender age of 16,”
Rose wrote on her blog. “And furthermore, he is ‘madly in love with
her.'”

About the credibility of her informant, Rose said, “Normally I
wouldn’t report a story like this without solid proof, but my source is
well-placed and very credible. This is the same source who gave me the
scoop on Tameka Foster’s pregnancy before anyone else reported it. I have learned never to doubt my source.”

Davis, was the Senior Vice President of A&R at Def Jam
when she first met Brown and tried to sign him. Davis was also
instrumental in signing Ne-Yo to Def Jam.

When Davis was forced to resign from her post after Def
Jam merged with Roc-A-Fella, Brown asked her to manage him. From there
Davis was instrumental in getting him a record deal with Jive.
