25 years ago, approximately
November 30th, 1982, the greatest album of all time was released
to a world of anticipating Michael
Jackson
fans. 25 years later Thriller is still the greatest
album to ever sell and break soundscan records.

On February 12th,
2008, Epic/Legacy will be releasing Thriller for a second anticipated
time to the same, but new world of dedicated MJ fans. The deluxe edition
is set to be packed with unreleased bonus tracks and a DVD that will
include remastered material. The unreleased tracks will include remixes
featuring the works of Kanye West, Will.I.Am, and Akon.
The list goes like this: Kanye West remixes “Billie Jean,” while Akon
and Will.I.Am redo “Wannabe Startin’ Something.” Will.I.Am will
take on remixes for “The Girl is Mine.” and “P.Y.T.” Along with
that, Jackson will also include the never released songs “For All
Time,” “Carousel,” and “Someone in the Dark,” all digitally
remastered from the original recording sessions. Contents of the DVD
will include remastered music videos Thriller, Billie Jean, and Beat
It. Alongside those videos, he also added the star-studded 1983 Motown
25 TV performance. Lastly, within the pamphlet of the deluxe edition,
Jackson even adds an exclusive penned greeting to his fans. If you’re
a real MJ fan, this is not something to overlook.

But before that release, anticipate
a new single from MJ in late December, early January as he sets off
the beginning point of his new album. With all that being said, be on
the lookout for Rick Ross’ new album Trilla which also
has a February 19th release, now that’s ironic.
