The undisputed heir to the Cash Money throne and the mogul-genius behind the upstart of the Young Money empire is apparently back on his grind full force after just being released from prison towards the end of 2010. Lil Wayne’s momentum and energy cannot be surpassed or even mimicked. It seems as though that the artist never sleeps as he most to even all of his time in the studio recording hit after hit or even completing a mixtape just to hand out to the fans as material as he does with a slew of others. It is said that a lot of young artists can learn from his techniques and his methods if they would ever want to make it to the caliber that Wayne is at right now. To many people, his performances, whether lyrical skill or on stage is just electrifying.

One young protégé is doing just that. Recently signed Young Money artist Cory Gunz isn’t new to the game as he knows the ins and outs of reaching a level of stardom, but working with Lil Wayne has giving him a newfound idea of hardwork and dedication. Gunz recently spoke with MTV News concerning his work experience with the energized Wayne, even after being featured on Wayne’s latest single ‘6 Foot 7 Foot.’

These were comments:

“All of his performances, whether it’s a video or a live performance, his energy is always the same: It’s always up, if there’s anything that I learned from him, it’s definitely to put your heart in it. Regardless if you’re writing a verse for somebody else’s album, write it like it’s for yours.”

Gunz even commented on his work on ‘6 Foot, 7 Foot’ with Wayne, sometime late last year.

“We went straight to the studio, and Tunes [told me], ‘I have something for you to hear,’ and it went from there “[Wayne said], ‘We gon’ have to attack this.’ As soon as I heard it, it was, like, instant. Some beats you hear [or] certain songs you hear in a party … and they hit you in a certain kind of way, and that’s kinda what the beat did. So we sat, and the record is now getting an amazing response. People been messing with the record, so its dope. I’m happy to be here.”

If you’re haven’t already figured it out, Cory Gunz is the son of New York veteran Hip-Hop artist, Peter Gunz. Cory has been known to massacre mixtapes from 2005 until now. He is currently working on his debut album set to be released by Young Money/Cash Money and Universal Motown sometime towards the end of this year or the beginning of next year, or even after the release of Wayne’s highly-anticipated ‘Tha Carter IV.’
