Counting Down T.I.’s Last Days
Atlanta, GA – Everything that T.I. has been through leads up to now. With the time frame he was given before he was to turn himself in, TIP was able to complete a list of things, business and personal, that would allow him to spend his time behind bars without the worry about a failing career. He has signed on to several movie deals that have began filming, completed farewell shows for the fans, and even ended his controversy with fellow ATL native Shawty Lo.
Back in 2007, T.I. was arrested and charged for attempting to illegally purchase weapons, plead guilty and in 2008 received a plea bargain that allowed him to avoid a lengthier sentence. Within that plea deal, he was court ordered to complete 1,000 hours of community service, pay a $100,000 fine, and complete an additional 500 hours before actual sentencing. The Bankhead native has been set to appear before a judge on March 27 where he will officially begin his year and a day sentence. Now stated within the federal guidelines, anyone may be released early based on good behavior, so in essence if T.I. doesn’t start any trouble while incarcerated, he might be out earlier than anticipated.
Before the end of 2008, T.I. spoke with MTV News stating that he was mentally preparing himself for the time he would spend in prison. He said that he would take that time for planning and writing lyrics working towards his next album. These were his comments to MTV when questioned about his thoughts:
“Presumably, while I’m there, I’ll be able to strategize my comeback. All those days will be spent speaking to people who are interested in being in the T.I. business. Preparing myself for the days those doors open, when I put my feet back on the ground of the free world. It’s just months of planning. It’s just a long time to roll the project out. I ain’t gonna just be sitting still doing nothing. The wheels will be turning; just the car ain’t going nowhere.”
At press time, before turning himself in, T.I. stated that he has already recorded several tracks for next album to be released sometime in 2010. At the same time, he also has a movie being released entitled’ Takers’ where he has signed on as an executive producer as well as a lead role. The film has a list of heavyweight actors including Paul Walker, Michael Ealy, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Brown.
50 Cent Will Not Sign On for ‘The Expendables’
Hollywood, CA – Last week it was reported that 50 Cent would sign on to Stallone’s action-packed flick ‘The Expendables’ to star alongside a huge cast of past and present A-list action stars. It was stated by director and writer Sylvester Stallone on Ain’t It Cool News that 50 was to replace the vacant seat left by Academy award-winning actor Forest Whitaker to star as the role of Hale Caesar.
Apparently the G-Unit General has reportedly signed off on the role that was personally offered to him by Stallone. According to a representative of the G-Unit label through a statement to MTV News, 50 was unable to accept the role due to conflicting scheduling between the completion of his next album ‘Before I Self Destruct.’
“50 Cent was offered the role of Hale Caesar in ‘The Expendables,’ however as he is currently in the process of completing his forthcoming album ‘Before I Self Destruct’ with Dr. Dre and Eminem. He was unfortunately not able to commit to the project.”
Whitaker signed off due to schedule conflicts when the production went into a month delay. 50 Cent has now declined the offer to replace the role Whitaker left vacant because of his own scheduling conflicts. This action-packed film will also star mega actors: Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Natural Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, and Stallone himself. Dolph Lundgren, who played Ivan Drago in ‘Rocky IV,’ and Arnold Schwarzenegger have been rumored to portray lead roles in the film.
At press time, Stallone has apparently written another statement to Ain’t It Cool News stating that actor Terry Crews (The 6th Day, Friday After Next, White Chicks, Terminator Salvation) has signed on to the role vacated by 50. However, that report has yet to be confirmed.
Trick Daddy Reportedly Suffering from Lupus
Miami, FL – Miami Hip-Hop artist, Trick Daddy, has been out of the limelight for quite some time now. Sources close to the MC has stated that he has been in the studio recording his 8th studio album entitled ‘Finally Famous: Born a Thug, Die a Thug.’ Now recent news has hit media outlets that Trick Daddy is suffering from a skin disease.
The veteran artist has recently announced that he was secretly suffering from an autoimmune disease known as Lupus for the past 12 years. The acclaimed Mayor of Miami recently revealed his skin disease during a radio interview this past Monday (March 23):
“I went to the doctor, like, 12 years ago. She took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin; she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have lupus.”
Trick stated that he has been staying away from the sun because of the reaction that it gives him:
“I am allergic highly to the sun, that’s my worst enemy. It’s like an AK-47 with a double clip on it.”
He continues to add what Lupus does to other people, what he’s trying not to follow:
“A lot of people try to cover it up with regular make-up. It makes your skin pigmented. You can go from dark to light and not light to dark. You have to cover it up and conceal it. My mama had 11 children from 10 different men. If she can live with that, I know I can live with this.”
At press time, Trick Daddy has recently completed his autobiography interestingly entitled ‘Magic City: Trials of a Native Son.’ He was currently promoting the book during his radio interview where he revealed his skin disease.
