Miami, FL – The County apparently does not want Poe Boy to use I-95 as a means of advertisement. Due to the height level of the stacked containers with the draped ads, county officials are saying that the containers are stacked way too high and is considered very dangerous. This definitely made headline news for 24HourHipHop even.

Channel Local 10 in Miami recently did a report stating that the request of the removal of the makeshift signs is due to the fact that they cause a “potential danger” to nearby property and the highway that is adjacent to the billboards. Could they really fall at anytime?!?

According to Channel Local 10 — County officials are calling for a property owner to remove the shipping containers he stacked along Interstate 95 and made into makeshift billboards.

Property owner Jose Saladin stacked shipping containers, some three high, beside I-95 just north of the 95th Street exit, then draped them with advertising. He will not say how much he is making.

Saladin’s property is adjacent to I-95, where hundreds of thousands of eyes can see the ads.

Miami-Dade County Neighborhood Compliance inspectors said the containers must come down.

“Very dangerous, very dangerous — they could easily fall onto adjacent property and also onto I-95,” said Miami-Dade Compliance Supervisor Christopher Albury.

Saladin told Local 10’s Jeff Weinsier he is working on getting proper permits and securing the containers.

“Downtown Miami, everywhere you go, they have signs. Only the big boys, they can do advertising?” said Saladin.

But the county said officials will not issue permits for this type of structure.

“We issued immediate tickets on these because we consider these life safety issues, and he has a certain amount of time to comply,” said Albury.

Miami-Dade officials said Saladin has until June 12 to remove the stacked containers before they place a lien on the property. The county is even considering heading to court.

“Should he not comply, a judge could issue an injunction to have us remove them and we could bill him,” Albury said.
