In an interview with YRB Magazine, Roc-A-Fella’s former co-owner
Dame Dash
explained how the media exaggerated his past
financial problems. Dash blames bad press for the
exploitation of his money issues and says that the recession hit
everyone, including himself.

“I started to go through a lot of bad press
all of a sudden,”
Dame explains of the period
following the sale of his shares in Roc-A-Fella Records and
Rocawear
Clothing
. “Like, the recession hit everybody, but me being a businessman
and motherf*ckers getting caught up in the storm, all my issues were
completely public. And completely exaggerated. So the recession sh*t
happens, I don’t give a f*ck.”

Could Dame be just a little bit salty about this whole bad press thing? You be the judge.

Jim Jonsin Suing Lil Wayne over Lollipop

Producer Jim Jonsin is reportedly suing incarcerated
rapper Lil Wayne, claiming that he was never
compensated for his work on Wayne’s 2008 hit single
“Lollipop.” Jonsin whose real name is James
Scheffe
r, is suing the rapper for $500,000 for the track that
he produced and co-wrote. He claims that Wayne promised
semi-annual accounting statements but skipped statements due in
December 2008 and June 2009.  Scheffer also claims that
when the statements were provided, they “grossly under-reported the
monies due plaintiff and were not accompanied by any payment.” According
to Scheffer, “Lollipop” has accumulated more than 4
million downloads and more than $4 million in ring-tone sales. No
further information has been released as of right now.

Game is Very Intelligent and Articulate, According to Stacey Dash

After shooting a music video with rapper Game, actress Stacey
Dash
has revealed that there’s a hidden side to him that many
don’t know about. Dash told VIBE that while filming
with Game during his music video “Shake,” she found
that not only was Game highly intelligent but very
articulate as well.

Game is highly intelligent. He’s
even educated. We have all kinds [of talks], from politics, to finances,
to life, to religion. He’s an intelligent man. That’s what I hope gets
exposed about him. Which is why I did my part in his video. I want him
to expose that side of himself. He says everything is about timing. He’s
just such an intelligent man and no one knows. He’s articulate as well.
He says everything is about timing. He’s just such an intelligent man
and no one knows. He’s articulate as well. Yeah, he promises that
eventually it’s going to happen. I’m holding him to it. And I think he
has a great voice for rap. I think his voice is amazing, so I would love
to hear him rap some… stuff. [Laughs]”

So was she surprised Game was smart. Are all rappers supposed to be dumb?
