Island Def Jam is pulling out the big guns during the holiday season with Jay-Z,
Young Jeezy, Nas and Fabolous all scheduled to released
albums in the next two months. With T.I. still standing as the
only platinum hip-hop release in 2006, Def Jam is banking on four artists with
platinum track sheets to bring the legendary label gold during the for the holidays.
First off, President Carter has come out of retirement and is slated to capitalize
on his monstrous buzz when his album, Kingdome Come, hitting stores on November
21st. Fresh off his platinum debut, Thug Motivation 101, Young Jeezy is poised
to let it snow when he releases his sophomore disc, The Inspiration, on December
12th. A week later, Nas’ highly anticipated Hip-Hop Is Dead will be hitting
stores. Lastly, Fab has just seen his release date bumped up to meet fourth
quarter deadlines.
