305djs: When did you start rapping and getting into music?

Dela: Probably around like 14 or 15 just f**king around,
banging on the wall. Just rapping and sh*t. Saw a bunch of ni**as doing it and
just jumped into the cipher and said f**k it, let me try that sh*t.

305djs: What made you want to pursue it and keep going with it?

Dela: I knew I was better than a lot of other ni**as.
When I first started, I was like damn. If I can do this and make some m*therf**king
money, I’m about that sh*t. Even though back then it wasn’t about
the bread, it was just about [rapping]. Then I heard about the industry and
 sh*t.

305djs: With Strictly Business, you said you’re not really signed?

Dela: That’s just straight up ride till I die type
  sh*t. Family sh*t.

305djs: Are you working on your album or is it complete?

Dela: My album is [complete]. I don’t have a release
date. It’s complete. I would say completed, but I would want to put a
couple more tracks because when I hear a song too much, it already gets old
to me. But I got the album complete and the mixtape complete. Mixtape should
  be dropping soon.

305djs: What artist and producers are featured on your album?

Dela: Well, producers are Mannie Fresh, Cool N Dre, Diaz
Brothers, Gorilla Tek, Big D, Stevie J, the ni**a that did Biggie sh*t. Yea
I did some shi* with Stevie J.

305djs: Are there any Miami artists or producers that you haven’t worked with that you want to work with?

Dela: I don’t really listen to music a lot. I just
make this sh*t. I don’t even turn on the f**king radio. If they tell me
my song is playing [on the radio], it’s because they tell me. I don’t
listen to it. I couldn’t tell you right now.

305djs: If you could work with any artist that is out there, who would you want to work with?

Dela: Probably UGK. We’ll sip a pint of lean and
do some screwed up sh*t. That’s me. That’s what I would do. I would
do some UGK and Isley Brothers at the same time sippin’ on a bottle of lean.

305djs: How do you feel about the music coming out of Miami and where it’s going?

Dela: I mean, my ni**a Ross is holding it down. My ni**a
Ross is holding it down, Dirte Red and my clique, Strictly Business basically
[is it]. [We have] Epidemic, Salazar, Chico Black, Los. But he makes beats.
I forgot he makes beats. That’s my ni**a though. It’s just all family
  sh*t.

305djs: Are you originally from Miami?

  Dela: Born and raised.

305djs: Do you feel with Pitbull blowing up and Garcia that it’s easier or harder for you as an artist?

Dela: I feel like they ‘kick…kick…kick
in da door’ and we just gonna bum rush the m*therf**ker. Look at Ross,
that ni**a has been doing sh*t before, but he just started getting the buzz
and look how that sh*t popped off. So it’s like who’s next up. I
ain’t worried. There’s enough food for everyone to eat around here.

305djs: What’s your goal as an artist?

Dela: To have a big mansion with a bunch of b*tches like
Hugh Hefner. That simplifies it right there. And not have to worry about sh*t.
Make sure my mom’s crib is paid. Make sure my family is straight. I’m
really a family man. My household family and my Strictly Business Records family.

305djs: What can everyone look for from you and the rest of Strictly Business for the rest of the year?

Dela: The rest of the year they can look for everything.
From me I’ll be bringing that gangsta sh*t all day. Epidemic got the sh*t
for the ladies. I got the sh*t for the streets. My ni**a Salazar has Spanish
  sh*t, Reggaeton sh*t, sh*t I don’t even f**k with. Chico Black has straight
thug sh*t too, young ni**a from the hood. My ni**a Quo, hip-hop rockstar m*therf**ker.
That’s my ni**a. That ni**a is just as f**ked up as me. I love that ni**a.
He does hip-hop rock. We did some sh*t with Ely from Endo, a rock band that
was signed to Columbia. It’s called ‘Hip-Hop Rockstar.’ I
don’t know what type of drugs I was on, but I did some f**king rock shit.
I listen to rock every now and then. I like ‘Hotel California,’
old school sh*t like that. This ni**a likes some Korn shit, so I was like lets
do the damn thing. I just went in there wrecked and just did it.

305djs: Is there anything you want to promote?

  Dela: I’m straight.
