Young Jeezy Discusses Gucci Mane Diss

Atlanta, GA – It has been years since the release of Gucci Mane’s debut single ‘Icy,’ however the beef surrounding Gucci and Jeezy over the song was apparently swirling in the air somewhere as that same beef between the two artists is still fresh like USDA Prime even today. You would assume that with the overnight celebrity status that Jeezy received as a solo artist years after, he would have been done and over with the feud. He surpassed Gucci leaving years behind him making it to fame and fortune beyond what he or anyone could imagine.

Due to the sudden success that Gucci has been receiving with the constant features and street hits, Jeezy did not imagine the ‘Icy’ originator would make it this far. Apparently, it seems as though Jeezy has fired back with a diss track to discredit his archrival within the industry. Within that diss record entitled ‘24-23 (Kobe, Lebron),’ he not only targets Gucci, but newcomer, OJ da the Juiceman as well.

The original Trapstar recently spoke about the record that surfaced on the net sometime ago with MTV News and went in directly at Gucci Mane about the whens and whys of the track. These were his comments:

“It wasn’t a question of ‘Why do the song now?’ It was more so of when dude went away, did his little time or whatever — he came back. The shit was squashed. I wasn’t trippin’ on him. I was getting my money on. I was done with it. I was on my grind. I wasn’t really paying attention to what was going on [with Gucci]. But as you know, Slick Pulla is locked up. A few of my partners that I really been down with since day one. He started taking shots on his little mixtapes. I was really kinda done with it, because on ‘Stay Strapped,’ I killed him with one verse. To make a long story short, I’m tired of the bullshit, because I know him. He ain’t like that. To be honest, I don’t have a problem with Gucci because I wear it — I have a problem with Radric [Gucci’s Mane’s birth name].”

This ongoing civil war between the two artists has been continuing a time span over a course of 5 years with no signs of resolutions. However, Jeezy, still continues to stake his claim against Gucci for different things including taking direct shots at his brethren Slick Pulla and Blood Raw:

“This is what he does. He always does it, he says what he says, then he hides his hands. Then when you say something, you’re the bad guy. I’m definitely not the aggressor in this situation. I’m just holding my business. I’m a grown-ass man. The best thing for you to do is get your money and leave me the fuck alone. I heard their little statement, ‘We ain’t feeding into that.’ Y’all been feeding into that for four years. Get your money, dog. Don’t be out here with the bullshit.

I don’t got no reason to be picking on nobody or fuck with nobody for no exposure, come on, dog. I ain’t never did no shit like that to sell no records or get no notoriety. It’s personal because he keeps fucking throwing rocks and hiding your hands, man.”

Interestingly enough, both Jeezy and Gucci are scheduled to perform at two high profile concerts one being their city of Atlanta while other is scheduled to be in North Carolina. Jeezy is quite confident that there won’t be any problems especially in his city:

“At the end of the day, I’m not worried about no show or nothing. I’m getting my money. Nothing’s stopping me from getting my money. You feel me? This is for my city, this is for Atlanta. I been the king of this shit for a while as far as Birthday Bash is concerned. We’re coming there to do our show.”

At press time, Jeezy aired the diss track entitled ’24, 23’ at the Velvet Room in Atlanta while Snoop Dogg and Gucci Mane were in VIP.

Mariah Carey’s ‘Obsessed’ could be a target at Slim Shady

MC has been known to drop hits on a regular especially when the release of her new LP is on the verge of release. With the right people backing her in production, the record will eventually become a worldwide chart topper in just a matter of time. And as many of her fans take the track for a test drive they soon realize that the words on her songs detail a storyline and a theme to follow closely. We have all been aware of the alleged relationship between Eminem and Mariah Carey as stated by Em years back. MC, until this day, claims that never happened. Apparently, with her recent single ironically entitled ‘Obsessed,’ it blatantly, not coincidentally, sounds like she is making a direct reference to that of the heavyweight Detroit MC.

A certain track recorded by Eminem entitled ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad’ prematurely leaked sometime in the beginning of May just weeks before the release of his return album ‘Relapse.’ In that track, Shady clearly reminisces about allegedly dating MC years back as much as even in the beginning of the song. He goes forward continuing to namedrop Nick Cannon solving the whole questioning on which Mariah he was making reference to. At one point in time, Cannon even sought to fire back with a response to Em with his own diss song to defend his wife’s character. Clearly he later backed down knowingly that it would destroy his already fading career. Eminem later stated that Cannon misinterpreted the lyrics he just so happened to include in his song that has many fans still asking questions.

Now the recent release of the real catchy track produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream entitled, clearly and simply as, ‘Obsessed’ has already received rave reviews and questionable attributes about who exactly she is referring to per say. It is actually without any undeniable doubt her character opponent in the track is none other than the diabolical villain himself, Slim Shady!

The intro of the song has her stating these words, “I was like, ‘Why are you so obsessed with me?” right before the beat initial drops. Throughout the hook of the song she continued to address Em as a liar being in a delusional state of mind:

“Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you’re sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It’s clear that you’re upset with me.”

Towards the end of her first verse, she entails a similar story that we’ve all been aware of since it went public, his sleeping pill addiction:

“It must be the weed, it must be the E/ ‘Cause you be poppin’, you get it poppin’.”

One of Def Jam’s top R&B talents, The Dream, has even confirmed that the song is in fact referring to one certain individual; however he failed to state that person’s name, making it quite obvious. Coincidentally, there is already a remix of the same single featuring Gucci Mane. At press time, Eminem or any of his representatives have yet to respond to the soon to be chart topper track. MC’s twelfth studio album is official entitled ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ confirmed to be released on August 25.
