Director Dave Rodriguez has once again been recognized for his work in the entertainment industry. Rodriguez has been nominated for the People’s Choice asward as Independent Filmmaker of the Year at the Florida Entertainment Summit. The film entitled ‘Push’ was shot in Miami in 2004. The film stars Chad Lindberg (“The Fast and the Furious”), Michael Rapaport (“Hitch”), and Academy Award Nominee Chazz Palminteri. “Push” is ready to be released in February 2006 by Ardusty Entertainment.

The nomination for Dave Rodriguez comes just a few weeks after he won for ‘Best Miami Film’ at the Miami Short Film Festival for the short project “She Kills He.”

The Florida Entertainment Summit will debut on December 17 in South Florida at the University of Miami Conference Center in Downtown Miami. The objective of the event is to provide independent artists, labels, and aspiring filmmakers with the opportunity to network with influential entertainment decision makers.
