305djs: Your album is finally dropping, how does it feel?

DJ Khaled: It feels real good because I’m reppin Dade County and Dade County is on the album. I got a whole bunch of artists from other cities that’s holding a Dade County brother down. At the same time, I put [together] the most incredible album in the world. By the way, it is the best.

305djs: You have been talking about putting this album together for a couple of years. How long did the process take?

DJ Khaled: It took 30 years because I’ve been grinding for 30 years and I’m 30 years old. So God had a plan for me and he has a plan for all of us and right now it’s time for me to drop this album.

305djs: What guest features do you have on there?

DJ Khaled: You got Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, Twista, Pitbull, Bone Thugs, Kanye West, John Legend, Consequence, Juelz Santana, Freeway and The Clipse. You got Dre, Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss. You got the whole world on the album.

305djs: How did you go about getting all these artists to feature on your album?

DJ Khaled: I got a lot of relationships and real recognize real, so ni**as f**k with me on a whole other level and just grinding.

305djs: What producers do you have on the album?

DJ Khaled: You got DJ Khaled myself The Beat Novocaine, The Runners, Nasty Beatmakers, Cool N Dre, Develop, StreetRunner, [Mr.] Collipark DJ Smirf. You got hit records.

305djs: How many songs did you produce?

DJ Khaled: I produced 4 songs.

305djs: Do you have and favorite songs off the album?

DJ Khaled: Yea I do. I love them all, they’re all crazy. The whole album is crazy. My favorite track is ‘Born and Raised’ just because it’s a passionate song about Miami. When I say passionate, it represents the culture. I just love that I can represent my city on another level. That song reppin Miami is a whole other level.

305djs: Now that you have this deal with Koch, how much do you think you will sell or what do you think you will sell?

DJ Khaled: I’m looking to sell…it doesn’t matter to me really because I accomplished my goal and people know I have an incredible album. So hopefully people go out and buy it. It’s all about staying relevant and staying hot in the game. That’s the main goal because staying hot and staying relevant is survival.

305djs: What inspires you to be DJ Khaled, this walking ‘movie’, making everything a movie?

DJ Khaled: God. He inspires me. He has given me a chance to wake up and see my family. The inspiration of just being somebody. It’s a beautiful thing.

305djs: You are a major part of the Miami Movement that is going on. How does it feel?

DJ Khaled: It feels great because it’s unity. Anything dealing with unity and love is a beautiful thing.

305djs: Why do you think it took so long?

DJ Khaled: Timing. I’m not mad that it took this long because it’s the right time. If it would have come out 5 years ago, it might not have been the right time. I had a chance to prove myself besides Miami and in other parts of the country to let people that I’m not playing.

305djs: What other projects are you currently working on?

DJ Khaled: Brisco. I’m going to be an executive after this album. I manage The Runners. Me and [DJ] Nasty manage The Runners. I’m VP o f Promotion of Fat Joe’s new record company. Just doing big things.

305djs: How did you and The Runners hook up?

DJ Khaled: [DJ] Nasty was working with The Runners and he’s a best friend of mine. I used to help them shop beats. The Runners are real loyal people and they kept it real with [DJ] Nasty and when [DJ] Nasty introduced them, we all unified and decided to work as a team. Those are some great guys. They are good people.

305djs: Anything you want to promote?

DJ Khaled: All I care about right now is DJ Khaled album. Go get it. Please go buy it. It’s an incredible album. I promise you. It’s the best album in the world.
