DMX certainly doesn’t waste anytime. No less than 24 hours after his release from prison, X has already reportedly planned a multi-city appearance tour. This tour is an 11-date nationwide tour that began Thursday May 14, 2009 in Arizona. According to the Hip-Hop Press, the tour is to show all of his fans that he is finally back!

“His touring schedule will be later this fall; however he will be making appearances at certain concerts and special events to let his fans know that the DOG is Back! Dates include: Phoenix (May 14-15), Las Vegas  (May 16-17), Los Angeles (May 21-22), Albuquerque (May 23), Denver (May 24), Atlanta (May 29), Houston (May 30) and Dallas (May 31).”

X’s release was confirmed by his attorney Glen Allen who had this to say:

“He’s extremely happy that he’s home,” Allen said. “We look forward to being able to handle his case with him out of custody.”

Not only has X planned shows, but he is reportedly working on his new album as well. I hope with all of these events going on, he will finally stay out of trouble and bring us some great music. Much success to you X!

Diddy Gets Sued

Apparently too much time spent on Making The Band has caused Diddy to neglect his other artists. Young Joc recently confirmed rumors and reports that he is suing both Bad Boy and Block Entertainment for “outrageous clearance fees” as well as advances and unpaid royalties for two of his projects. Joc told Billboard:

“I haven’t been paid any royalties since I’ve been out, after over a million albums sold,” Joc said in an interview. “For my first album, they gave me a $25,000 advance when I was supposed to get more…Then I had a million dollar budget for my second album, never even got an advance off of it. For the third one they hit me with another $25,000, like I’m some chump in this sh*t. And I just got tired of it…Diddy  said he’s got to stay out of it because it’s between me and Block Entertainment. I was never signed to Block Entertainment, but they’ve been interfering with a lot of my business. I feel like [Bad Boy] isn’t doing anything to try to intervene and help the situation.”

Not a good look Diddy, not at all. Joc isn’t the only one unhappy with Diddy at the moment.  Former Bad Boy recording artist Mark Curry actually wrote a book on Diddy’s alleged “shady practices.”  In his book “Dancing With the Devil” he says:

“Even worse, Puff charged the artists for his appearances on their records and in the videos, usually without their realizing it until they received their royalty statements,” the first chapter reads. “That’s when they discovered that a large sum of their money had gone to fees which were doubled, tripled and even quadrupled because of Puff “special guest appearance. He charged artists, for example, for having his Bentley in their videos — which he insisted upon — then took a tax credit for business use of the car.”

Well hopefully all the legalities will be taken care of. As a businessman this is definitely NOT the business. Diddy has yet to release a statement on this matter. We will keep you informed as more information is revealed.
