They say home is where the heart is.

Dmx has reportedly inked a new deal with Def Jam where he started his famed career. XXL reported that a source at Def Jam has confirmed that the legendary rapper indeed did sign this new deal. During his historic run, Dmx was a top-selling artist for Def Jam. He released 5 albums and his two classic Lp’s “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot” and “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood”, both released in the year 1998

Swizz Beats graced the airways with the news of the signing while doing an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“It’s going to be a good year for him, god willing,” Swizz said. “I just want it to happen so he can go to where he been supposed to have went.”

Swizz admits that X has been out of the public’s eye because “he wasn’t in his right form,” but reminds the breakfast club that X’s fans are still very fond of him.

“He missed a lot of time, but you know what, those people still show up to them shows,” While adding. “He does something different with them.”

After spending a year in a West Virginia prison for tax evasion, Dmx was released in January. Since being released, X has been performing at concerts and working with Swizz. Dmx will be heard on an upcoming Epix series Godfather of Harlem, a track produced by Swizz Beats which also features Miami native Rick Ross “Just in Case”.
