Drake releases the cover art for his highly anticipated album, “Nothing Was The Same“.  Drake is known to keep his releases under wraps and to only leak out certain singles from the album months to weeks prior.  The album was set to release on September 17nth, however he had to delay his release date to September 24th due to unknown delays.

Drake has been slowly releasing songs off his album and we have already caught a glimpse of at least 6 of the tracks that will be included in his album.  “All Me” Ft. 2 Chainz & Big Sean, “Hold On We’re Going Home” Ft. Majid Jordan, “5am In Toronto“, “Girls Love Beyonce” Ft. James Fauntleroy, “The Motion” Ft. Sampha, and “Started From The Bottom” which was nominated for an award in the Best Hip Hop Music Video category for the VMA‘s.  Rumors have it that Drake is performing “Started From The Bottom” at the MTV VMA’s.

The cover art to Drake‘s new album was done by Kadir Nelson, an artist out of southern California that doesn’t have a huge following… yet. The album cover shows a side view of a young Drake with a fro and a fro pick on one side and a side view of the Drake we all know with his signature hair line.  Kadir did a great job on the artwork, it is a basic concept but looks euphoric in his style.

The delay on his album is only a 7 day delay, however I think Drake fans are getting anxious to hear Drake’s more personal songs that no one has even had a taste of.  It should be interesting to see what lies underneath the cover art of this album.
