Kid Cudi is a wanted man. The Cleveland rapper notched the top spot on “The Elle  25,” a list of things the staff of the fashion magazine is looking forward to before year’s end. In the piece, the mag’s editors rave about Cudi’s upcoming album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, which reportedly will now see the light of day in October.

“A sophomore effort that up-stages his first, with booming choruses (Cudi sings — sans Auto-Tune, at that!), raging electro beats, and a rock-rooted single, ‘Erase Me,’ which features that other hypercool skinny-jean-clad rapper, Kanye West,” writes the Elle staff.

A new Cudi/Kanye collaboration also leaked online over the weekend, the first offering from a mixtape effort helmed by West. “Wylin’ Cause I’m Young” is a brooding, bass-heavy number on which the two trade woozy rhymes: “Rage, ’cause I’m paid,” Cudi raps. “Take the gray and create another shade/ Awesome, no more bitches playing possum/ Pop and lock ’em and send them all home.”

The track will be featured on ‘Ye and Perajok’s upcoming G.O.O.D. Ass Mixtape (named, of course, for the rapper’s own G.O.O.D. Music label). Another Cudi track, “Mr. Rager,” also hit the Web; a snippet of the song appeared earlier. It’s tentatively slated for a spot Man on the Moon II.  (Via MTV News)
