Eminem & 50 Cent Discuss Upcoming Projects from Aftermath

New York, NY – Many projects have been brewing in the House of Aftermath for quite some time now. It all began with news of a mythological Dr. Dre album hitting media outlets sometime in 2004 and was slated for a 2008 release amongst hints and rumors that the album was complete. Apparently, after news of a new Eminem album was in the works, ‘Detox’ was then put on the backburner next to 50 Cent’s new studio album. As a matter of fact, everything was put aside for the release of ‘Relapse.’ So now, the next project to come out of Aftermath will be that of 50’s ‘Before I Self Destruct.’ That new album was supposed to see the light of day sometime in early 2009. Now with the Em’s most anticipated album for the past 5 years has finally released to the world, the legendary Three Headed Monster have a lot in store for the world for the next couple of years.

BET’s 106 & Park recently had Eminem on the show as a musical guest to promote his new album that just hit number 1 on the Billboards. The Slim Shady himself bought the G-Unit General to the show as a surprise guest to add weight to the show. Both Aftermath mega artists spoke to Terrance and Rocsi concerning the relationship between the three heads and the upcoming projects to come out of the House of Aftermath.

50 Cent explained to the fans and the overexcited hosts that the relationship between the three of them have grown immensely over the course of years that they know each other’s routine quite well, giving homage to his mentors that is Eminem and Dr. Dre:

I think we’re absolutely in a great space, considering his project is where it’s at, #1. And it’s working. Until they find a collaboration of artists that work together as well as we work together, I don’t think we got issues. One of the most important portions of our relationships is us understanding our positions. I’m like King Kong when I’m by myself, and when [me, Em and Dre] come back, come together, I’m actually the smallest person in our circle. I get a chance to be down to earth.”

Eminem then added his own comments about the his role between the three and what diabolical monster he refers himself to after that of 50’s King Kong:

“Godzilla? Maybe Godzilla, I don’t know. I think the best thing about the combination of me, 50 and Dre is that we take criticism from each other, we listen to input. We’re always trying to do better.”

When questioned about Dr. Dre, the two monsters reassured the fans that Dre was at home working as usual and to anticipate the arrival of Detox, because according to them the album is coming. 50 states that he already heard 8 tracks, while Em confirms 10. At press time, 50’s ‘Before I Self Destruct’ will be next project to be released form Aftermath slated to be released sometime in June.

DJ Whoo Kid Weighs In on Possible 50 Cent & Eminem Joint Album

New York, NY – It seems as though Eminem and 50 Cent have been the topic of discussion as of late for media outlets and fans alike. After their recent interview on 106 & Park, many people anticipated the future of Aftermath and the infamous ‘Three Headed Monster.’ What lies ahead for the label that everyone has their eyes on as of late?

According to DJ Whoo Kid, G-Unit and Shadyville DJ alumni, a possible joint album between the two monsters might be in the works. He was recently asked by MTV News about the interesting project that has been discussed, but never put down in print.

These were his comments:

“They been talking about that shit for years, we even talked about it in the mixtape format. It’s an incredible situation [that] I hope one day goes down. Who wouldn’t want to see that? I don’t know what they gonna call that. I remember Em joked about that, ‘Let’s call it Ebony and Ivory.‘ Society is gonna have to force these guys to do it … the scheduling, Em’s album, 50’s album — it’s all scheduling. We’ve talked about it the last three, four years. You would want to see it, right”

Whoo Kid explains that Dre is the pinnacle of the two, when 50 and Em come together in the studio, the outcome is exceptional. The duo’s relationship has apparently grown into a bond that provides trust into both heavyweight artists. With Dre on the production and the duo on the lyricism, it comprises that of the ‘Three-headed Monster:’

“The element of Dre being there, too, brings their bars up; they’re both excited, crazy. They’re already excited with each other. You see the verses are way up there, the creativity is way up there. 50 is influenced by [Em’s] creativity where he crosses the line. The only time you see 50 buggin’ out is when they’re together. Whereas when 50’s solo, he’s creative too, but into the gangsta world, the thug shit. Em showed him there are other lines out there you can fuck with.

In the beginning it was business, they naturally grew into a family-type bond. 50 hangs more with Eminem and he’s more connected with Eminem than Dre. Not to say 50 and Dre don’t get along — they’re really cool, they’re friends and everything, but it’s mostly business. But 50’s gonna go to Eminem’s wedding, 50’s gonna go to Eminem’s barbecue, they’re gonna go on vacation together. They’re more into the family shit.”

The project is still in talks amongst Em, 50, and Dre, but it is a plausible idea that just might happen. As of now, we await, 50’s new revamped album ‘Before I Self Destruct, Dre’s strenuously long-awaited ‘Detox,’ and the sequel to ‘Relapse.’
