We haven’t heard much from Eminem these days. All we get are a few rumors here and there about him being fat or the supposed titles to his long awaited return album. Well now he has come out of his bat cave and is making some major announcements that the fans have been waiting a  long time to hear.

            There were many names floating around as for the title of his new LP, some included Empack and King Mathers among others. Well now he has put all that to rest and said the official title will be the appropriately titled, Relapse. He made this announcement  while playing the first official song off the album, “I’m Having A Relapse” last night (October 15) live during the release party for his latest book The Way I Am in New York.

            The album is set to drop sometime in 2008 and will feature the usual production and cameo features from the Aftermath and Shady families. Em is also getting his sneaker game up as he has teamed with Nike to bring a special edition Jordan sneaker to the shelves. The sneaker will feature hand written lyrics from Em’s songs on the outside and will only have a limited run of 313 being made. The number 313 is an homage to Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, with 313 being the area code.

Proving that hip hop cares as well Em has decided to make all proceeds from the sale of the show be donated to Eminem’s non-profit, The Marshall Mathers Foundation, which helps disadvantaged youth in the state of Michigan.
