New York, NY – Shady Records’ upcoming ‘Bad Meets Evil EP,’ a 10 year long delayed collaboration between Em and Royce is actually receiving many nods and turned heads within the industry. Between the media and the heavyweight production teams trying to land a spot on the record, the only producer that should be on the album; is missing from the EP.

On Wednesday’s (May 18) MTV’s ‘RapFix Live,’ Eminem and Royce Da’5’9 were guests on the show with Sway. During the interview, they explained why Dre wasn’t credited on this album that they’ve entitled ‘Hell: The Sequel.’

These were Em’s comments:

“I think Dre is, like, really cracking down on getting Detox finished, so I think he’s more so focused on that, I really didn’t say anything to Dre till kinda like the last minute. We didn’t really say anything to anybody about what was going on because we weren’t sure what was going to happen with it,” Slim explained to Sway. “It wasn’t like I said, ‘Yo, Dre, can we get a beat for this project that we’re workin’ on?’ Because it wasn’t really necessarily a project yet.”

However, minus Dre, production on the album does include work from Mobb Deep’s Havoc, Sid Roams, Bangladesh, Denaun Porter, DJ Khalil, and Supa Dups, who is responsible for the recent single ‘Fast Lane.’

Royce added these comments on the production tip:

“We didn’t reach out to any producers, because we were just cuttin’ random and we didn’t actually know that we were workin’ on a project.”

Em continued on explaining how they did receive the sound production they have the tracks on the album as of now:

“It was more so that we were getting beat CDs from the label — from Shady and some of the A&Rs there were sending us beat CDs from various producers — and we would hear beats like, ‘That one’s crazy.’”
