As we draw close to the release of Eminem’s new album ‘Relapse,’ the anticipation into his new material has the whole world in a swirl. Apparently, fans couldn’t get enough after the release of ‘We Made You,’ his next single ‘3 A.M.’ has now officially leaked to the net this past Thursday (April 23). According to the counter the track downloads are already in the thousands.

And just like the Eminem that we remember before his 5 year long hiatus, his second single was always the one with the sinister Slim Shady ego. The record itself is serious Eminem signature style. The lyrical massacre envelops over the pivotal Dre beats that gives it its initial fuel. In a very descriptive visualization, Em narrates a late-night killing spree on the more than 5 minute track. Here is an excerpt from the third verse:

“I duck and I splash/ Lights and gas/ Last night was a blast/ I can’t quite remember when I had/ That much fun with a half-pint of the Jack/ My last Vic and half/ A flashlight up Kim Kardashian’s ass.”

On Thursday morning, Eminem appeared on his Shade 45 Sirius radio channel to discuss his upcoming long-waited album. He explained to host Angela Yee and his fans how most of the production was taken care of by Dr. Dre while this time around he only touched the boards on one track to allow Dre to push his creativity. According to Shady, it allowed him to focus more on his lyrical craft than that of the production scope. These were his comments:

“I tried to pick the [Dre beats] that challenged me, rhythm-wise, I ended up experimenting with a bunch of different flows. I try to do that every album, but this time I had a chance to go all out with it. Make every flow different and pick unique beats.”

At press time, Em states that the video to ‘3 A.M.’ has already been shot in Detroit and will be released soon. Shady states that this track is similar to the other material he has recorded for this first installment of ‘Relapse’ set to be released on May 19.

Eminem Discusses Lil Wayne

As the buzz continues to surround Eminem, it seems as though he has been the center of attention not only for fans and the media, but for the artists in the industry as well. Those artists have so far included Rick Ross, who recently claimed that he would like to work or battle Shady to even Lil Wayne constantly asking to work with him on tracks. The Young Money mogul even states that Em has been avoiding him.

Well apparently, on that same interview with Shade 45 this past Thursday on the ‘Morning After Show,’ Angela Yee inquired about Em possibly working with Wayne.

This was his response to Wayne’s request:

I would. There hasn’t really necessarily been a time for me to go to collaborate and shit lately, because I been so locked down in the studio. But I’m open for whatever. There’s a lot of rappers in the game I respect, especially right now.”

Eminem continued on to state that T.I. and Kanye West were amongst the other artists in the game right now that he respects and wouldn’t mind working with when the time comes around.

Most recently, Rick Ross has even had some choice comments to add about Slim Shady as one of the artists he respected. He stated to MTV News that Eminem would be a more worthy opponent in a lyrical battle than that of Em’s apprentice 50 Cent. He continued on to comment that he has grown tired of battling with 50 since he has triumphed over the recent feud. These were his comments to MTV concerning both Em and 50:

“I mean, I’m a fan of Eminem, I’m a fan first and foremost. But after defeating [50 Cent], my confidence is at an all-time high. Maybe before I wouldn’t have challenged him, but I’m contemplating it now. I think he’s a bigger and better artist than what [50] is. So if I was looking to fulfill that excitement or that rush, that’s who I have to address.”

Eminem has yet to comment on Ross’ recent challenge or request. Em’s apprentice, 50 Cent hasn’t added a retort to Ross’ claim of victory. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for more updated news.
