Forget needing a girl, rapper Loon may be in desperate need of a lawyer. The former Bad Boy MC (born Chauncey Hawkins, but who is now known as Amir Junaid Muhadith after his conversion to Islam) was arrested in Belgium and will be extradited to the United States to face drug charges.

A copy of indictment surfaced on blog site DDotOmen.com on Friday. The document says that Loon between early 2006 and September 2008, “knowingly and intentionally” possessed with intent to distribute at least one kilogram of heroin in North Carolina.

Loon began his career as a rapper in Ma$e’s Harlem World group, who released their gold-selling debut The Movement in 1999. In 2002, the Harlem spitter made his biggest splash as a featured artist alongside Usher on Diddy’s “I Need a Girl (Part One)” single and then again on its remix “I Need a Girl (Part Two).”

The next year, in 2003 Loon would go on to release his solo self-titled debut on the back of his Mario Winans-featured single “Down For Me.” He dropped his second single “How You Want That,” with Kelis, but after that Loon began to slowly fade into obscurity. In 2004, the Diddy protege was arrested and charged with attempted murder after a security guard was stabbed during a fight in a Los Angeles club. Loon, however was never convicted of the crime.
