Flesh-n-Bone Felony Gun Charges Dropped
We recently heard word that Flesh-n-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony was arrested on felony gun charges and was set to attend court on Monday, April 6. Well the word now is that Flesh has been cleared of all charges and the case has been dropped.
According to the L.A. Times:
“The defense turned over some information, and we investigated and realized we were unable to proceed with the charges as filed, so the judge dismissed the case,” said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles district attorney’s office.”
After the initial preliminary hearing on April 2, 2009, Flesh was forced to remain in custody until the case was continued on Monday, April 20. I’m guessing everything went well because it was released shortly after the continuance that all of the charges were dropped. Shepard Kopp, Flesh’s attorney had this to say in a statement:
“It vindicates what I’ve said from the start of this case, which is that Mr. Howse did not possess any contraband,” he said. “When you haven’t done anything wrong and you wind up in jail it’s a pretty traumatic event. There’s still a parole hold, and we hope to get that resolved within the next week.”
Traumatic experience huh?Yeah OK. Pardon me for not being moved by that statement. All I know is that either the get-out-of-jail-free card must be available at the local grocer’s market or these rappers must really have the Angel of Prison on their side, because they are managing to escape from some serious trouble.
Well good luck, Flesh, you really dodged the bullet that time!
Video with Ja Rule Speaking Out About “Mafia Music” Remix
Patiently we have waited for Ja Rule to speak out about his latest music ventures. Finally he is breaking his silence on the reason he decided to get on Rick Ross’ “Mafia Music” remix, which is in compliance with the ongoing 50 Cent and Rick Ross beef. Many have been wondering if this is just a sneaky attempt to dig up the old drama that he once had with 50 himself.
“[The track is] fuego, you know what I mean? But that beef was like 10 years old. I’m not rehashing beef, I just went in and did the record with Rick Ross and I’ll always speak my mind on how I feel. I could gives a fuck about Curly. It’s not like it’s a shock to nobody that I’m on the record.”
I agree, it’s not a big shock that Ja graced Ross’ track but what is the purpose? He claims he’s not “rehashing beef” but these lyrics say different:
“Guess who’s bizzack,” Rule raps. “I spit murder, the music is mafia…One cold afternoon you get shot at your home/Now ‘I Smell P*ssy’/P*ssy got lips, but it don’t talk to me/That’s why you my b*tch/And you on my d*ck/Aha ’cause I f*cked you up once, I f*cked you up twice and you still talking sh*t/What must I do, to get through to you/ Curly, get off my d*ck…Read in-between the lines when you hear me talk/Get on get outta line, this is Rule York.”
Mad much? Tell us how you really feel. Well with all the latest controversy surrounding this beef, I wouldn’t be surprised if things only got worst from here. Hopefully for all you Ja Rule fans, this song will catapult Ja back into the limelight and put him and Murder Inc. back on that map. The likelihood of that occurring, who knows, but I guess it’s worth a try, right? I can’t wait to see what happens next!
