Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor has recently plead not guilty for the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl.

According to police the 16-year-old victim had been residing with 36-year-old Rasheed Davis in the Bronx for a few weeks.

Davis, who had recently been paroled from a first-degree manslaughter charge, allegedly beat up the victim, drove her to a Holiday Inn and demanded she have sex with Taylor.

After she refused Davis handed her over to the Ex-football player who reportedly sexually assaulted her and then paid her $300 authorities say.

The victim, who is one year under the legal age of consent under New York law, sent a text message to her uncle stating what happened and that she was being driven back to the Bronx. He then called the N.Y.P.D and they arrested Taylor early Thursday morning.

Taylor, who has been in trouble in the past for drug abuse, is faced with third-degree rape, a felony charge that carries a term of up to four years in prison. He also is charged with third-degree patronizing with a prostitute, a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in prison.

His bail has been set at $75,000.

Davis has been charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
