After many reports of Foxy Brown being a “Jail Diva,” finally Foxy Brown has responded to the recent reports that claimed she received special treatment while away in prison last year.
Even after spokesperson Stephen Morello denied the special treatment claims, Foxy Brown is calling out The New York Post for publishing the original and revealed her reaction via a blog post.
According to Global Grind, Foxy had this to say:
“All I could do was laugh after reading those erroneous *ss allegations!,” she wrote. “Once again, Hip-Hop is on blast for some bullsh*t. Denouncing our brand and depicting our culture as having an irreproachable ‘sense of entitlement.’…Now a year and a half after I left Rikers Island, it’s breaking news whether I got “special treatment” during my incarceration? Boy oh boy, sounds like some disgruntled, hating *ss corrections employee concocted this fabricated story! I NEVER GOT ANY SPECIAL TREATMENT. NO “valet” service, meals from Mr. Chows or C.O gatherings in my cell. Actually, on many occasions I was denied basic privileges and rules were over enforced. The audacity of a newspaper to even print this sh*t!… I just celebrated my 1 YEAR anniversary home from jail and publicly thanked the c.o’s and staff who treated me with respect.”
I would have to agree with Foxy to a certain extent. Why wait an entire year to finally make the fact that she may or may not have had special treatment known to the public? If it was really that big of a deal, wouldn’t it have already been released? Well you heard Foxy and Morello’s side, now whether you believe them or not is up to you. Hopefully the next time Lil Kim gets arrested, she can get placed where Foxy was so they won’t jack her of her weave.
Jim Jones Denies Claims of Being Dropped From Columbia
Rumors have apparently surfaced about Jim Jones, leader of Byrd Gang, being dropped from Columbia Records. According to The YBF, their A&R source confirmed the rapper had been dropped saying:
“Our A&R source at Columbia Records tells TheYBF.com that rapper Jim Jones has just been dropped from the label. We called the Columbia offices to get an official statement, but it was after hours. Columbia has, though, removed him from their website.”
Jones has recently responded to his fans via Twitter and stating that the allegations are totally false. Also he denies the claims that he allowed incarcerated rapper Max B release a mixtape in order to generate profits for his family.
Jones says on Twitter:
“not true at all totaly false. lol lmao owww,” he wrote in response to questions about a Max B mixtape. He went on to address other rumors. ” I wish [I was dropped from Columbia]. funny thing about tht is I’m not a artist over there I’m a partner I have a venture I wish it was that easy lol.”
In an interview with Hot 97, Jones previously discussed his business relationship with Max:
“He’s signed to my label and I bought his publishing for roughly $90,000 which he cried over the phone to get out of jail for,” Jones previously told radio personality Funkmaster Flex in an interview last year. “He sold his soul, the stupidest move I’ve ever heard anybody make in their entire life.”
According to G-Unit Radio:
“Nah, Jim ain’t reach out,” Max said in a phone interview. “I’m waiting for him. I’m trying to get this Vigilante Season out so hopefully he can reach out to me and get a check together. You know, shout-out to Jim Jones. I want a check, lets get a check…I had fun man, this has been the best two and a half, three years of my life. I did so much. I was stuck in the contract and I still somehow slipped through the crack and became successful. I go to bed with a smile on my face every night.”
Well you heard it from the sources mouth. Jim Jones is not being dropped from Columbia Records and there will be no mixtape approved for Max B. All I can say is Jones, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!
