After being hidden for so long, finally Foxy Brown is stepping back into the limelight with a new untitled track that she posted on Youtube.  In the new track, Foxy took a slick shot at ex-rival Lil Kim by taunting the fact that she was on the TV show “Dancing With The Stars” and that it was an embarrassment to Brooklyn. Although the diss was subliminal and never actually said Kim’s name,we all knew who she was speaking of. We all know that Lil Kim appeared on that tv show sometime last May.  Honestly, what other rapper from Brooklyn was on “Dancing With The Stars?”

It’s weird that all of this is happening when Foxy Brown was the one willing to call a truce back in 2001. MTV reported Foxy Brown saying:

“I really don’t know how it started,” Brown said in an interview. “But Russell [Simmons] and I, we got together, and I said, ‘Russell, I want to call a truce.’ “I want to have a sit-down with Kim. I don’t care what it is. Let’s just end it. We can even do a collaboration. We’re bigger than this. If it has to start with me, let it start with me.” Brown claimed that Simmons (chairman of her label, Def Jam/Def Soul) extended an olive branch to Lil’ Kim’s  camp, who “weren’t responsive.” Calls to Lil’ Kim’s manager were not returned as of press time.”

I understand Foxy is trying to make a swift comeback but throwing Lil Kim under the bus really was pointless.  The record is aight in my opinion and if I’m being honest her voice sounds a bit different now. Almost like a mix between Lil Kim, herself, and Queen Pen. Ironic right?? (COMEDY) A few bars from the track are as follows:

“Y’all rap b*tches are mad rappers, n*gga, I’m a freak and need a hood n*gga to eat it a** backwards,” Brown raps. “Put your money  up playboy, the pink p*ssy price cost like a couple keys of that fish scale white/Catch me at Marcy at the mall, but motherf*ckers will never see me ‘Dancin’ With The Stars’/Never, will I embarrass my borough, I’m too thorough/Dark skin b*tches, we here now…Y’all b*tches wanna be me so bad, y’all studied my whole swag.”

Damn Foxy, going in hard now aren’t we. Didn’t you just get your hearing back? I know if I lost my hearing, the last thing I would do when I finally got it back, is diss someone else. What if she said you won’t see me wearing a hearing aide or something rude like that? Or you’ll never see me starring in my self-made, self-leaked sex tape. Don’t get me wrong, I like Foxy. I just think the diss was retarded and so not needed, but then again are they ever needed?  Oh well, to each his/her own.

Kim has yet to respond to these subliminal disses. We’ll keep you posted on this situation. Check out the Foxy Brown untitled track below:

Funkmaster Flex Speaks On Dispute Between Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel

So I know by now we’ve all heard about the Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel Dispute. Well know, Funkmaster Flex is weighing in his opinion about the entire situation.  Flex said in an interview with XXL Magazine that he understood both sides of the situation.  Flex had this to say:

“It’s a hard position,” Flex said in an interview, “[but] I think Jay should’ve let Sigel go in the first inkling that he wanted to be someplace else. I do agree with Jay-Z with something. He did allow Sigel every opportunity with the clothing line, record label and his record deal. And I don’t think Sigel did anything wrong, but the game changed to where it wasn’t profitable anymore with labels. The clothing business wasn’t doing what it was doing. I don’t know if he didn’t do something or if the game just changed, because there were a lot of people with clothing lines. Jay’s not gonna respond, he don’t have to. He’s the richest rapper and he just dropped a hot rock album. Let’s keep it 100, T-Pain, I love T-Pain, I love T-Pain. I love Sigel. I love a lot of the artists that are out there and ain’t nobody saying this album is wack.”

Both Sigel and Jay have previously stated their sides of the story and the reason for Sigel’s unhappiness with Rock-A-Fella.  According to La Rue Du Hip Hop:

“He has a lot to complain about,” Jay jokingly said during a press conference. “Not me. Well Beanie Sigel  at the time, and you can look it up if you like, just to be honest, was driving two Bentleys, I don’t know how. It’s impossible to drive two cars at one time with his mama in the sticks and selling 800,000 records. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody at that point. What people choose to do when they attain that type of success, you know, at some point you have to look in the mirror and look at yourself. Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label, and a clothing line. And never went platinum, ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. I don’t know what more you can do for a person at that point. But a record deal, that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line, so, if that’s not pushing a person, sh*t. Thank-you.”

Beanie however, sees things very differently. He sat down with Power 99FM and had this to say regarding the entire situation:

“The issue about the Bentley’s , you shot yourself in the foot for that, now let’s go to the record label I’m ‘supposed’ to have,” Beans said in an interview. “You didn’t give me a record label, all it cost is a couple hundred dollars to search the name, State Property Records, nobody owned it. I think I paid a couple more hundred dollars and I patented the LLC licensing company, so my record [company] cost me like $750 to say on a piece of paper that I owned State Property Records LLC and I did that on my own. You didn’t give me that and what artist was on that label? So what did you give me? The clothing line that I had, I had 20 percent of State Property clothing, it’s me, Jay, Dame [Dash] and the two other Russians that had the Rocawear owned State Property because I gave them an idea, pitched it to Dame at the time — [Dame] was taking all the money from Rocawear and putting it into all his little companies, he did the same thing to State Property.”

I’m with Flex, I can see both sides of the situation and he’s right. If Beanie wants to go, let him go. No use keeping him there now. It’s really no need to dispute over it. One person says one things, another says something totally different. Why not just agree to disagree and let it go. Sign the papers and its over with.  Also I see some of the issues involve Dame Dash and if so then there needs to be a three way communication going.  But what do I know!
Well we’ll see where things go with this situations.

There have been rumors circulating that Sigel may be signing with G-UNIT. Can I just do a blank face stare? BEANIE NO!!!!  We’ll definitely keep you updated on this situation!
