So what do female rappers do when they don’t make records? Obviously they get arrested! Following Foxy Brown, Lil Kim and Remy Ma; Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo is joining the list after she was arrested in connection to a robbery.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2009; Gangsta Boo turned herself into authorities in connection with a robbery on an Olive Branch, Mississippi retail store. She was released on a $100,000 bond and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

According to AllHipHop.com, a man by the name of Marcus Curtis has been arrested and charged with being the gunman and with committing the crime.

“Police are investigating Gangsta Boo’s role in the armed robbery of a Dollar General store on July 23. One man, Marcus Curtis, 30, has been arrested and charged as the gunman who committed the crime. Curtis allegedly accosted a female employee with a black revolver, as she was closing the discount store shortly before 9:00 PM. He is accused of entering the store, forcing employees to empty a safe and ordering the terrified workers to lay face down while he fled the scene of the crime.”

Come on Boo, A Dollar General? Are times really that hard? I find this quite comical. Dude really stuck up a dollar store at gunpoint? I know it’s a recession but you couldn’t even pull out a dollar? I don’t know whether to laugh or shake my head. Dumb Ass Decisions For 1000 ALEX!!! This is one of the DUMBEST CRIMES EVER!!!!  Not a good look!

Gangsta Boo is due in court on January 5. Good luck!

Nas Forced to Pay Kelis Over $50,000

Ok just when I thought this situation was over; Nas’ pockets have been hit up for more money. Kelis is not playing! On Wednesday, December 9, 2009 Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David S. Cunningham ordered Nas to pay $51,101 a month in spousal and child support to Kelis.

Even though it has been verified that Kelis has signed a new recording contract with Interscope Records for $175,000, her attorney explained that the majority of that money was paid to her managers, which left her with only $50Gs. According to AllHipHop:

“When cross-examined, she told Nas attorney Mark Kaplan that her comeback career was a far cry  from her former chart topping fame circa the 2003 single “Milkshake,” indicating that her latest song was quietly dropped on Twitter. Her income could also not be determined, as documentation shows Kelis has not filed an income tax return in years.”

It had been reportedly previously that Nas was paying nearly $40,000 a month in temporary support. Including13,000 a month in mortgage fees from the couple’s Los Angeles home, where Kelis currently resides.

Certain statements also revealed that Nas owed $700,000 to his manager and $2.5 million in backed taxes to the IRS.
Obviously Nas’ IRS troubles didn’t affect the judge’s decisions because Judge Cunningham laid the smack down on that ass! Wow Kelis, a new record deal plus alimony. Balling!

Neither party has commented on this situation. Needless to say, I’m still sad that it’s truly over between them! *tear*
