Giel, The Rising Princess of Soul, put on an amazing and energetic performance in front of a packed house at Jazziz Bistro on Wednesday night. There were many Miami labels and artists including MC Lyte, TJ Chapman (TJ’s DJ), Bebe (Circle House), Strictly Business Records, Slip N Slide, StreetRunner, Drop (Engineer), Ozone Magazine as well as fans that were in the house to support Giel.

Giel hit the stage at 9:15pm with an energetic introduction to get the audience on their feet. She followed with the StreetRunner produced “Had Your Chance.” The song definitely kept the energy flowing straight into her next song “Unfair.”

Giel then showed one of her many talents as she brought out her guitar to perform the first song she every wrote on her guitar “Dreamlover.” She followed with two other songs performed with the guitar in which one was for all the women in the audience.

Next Giel moved to the piano to showcase another side of her various musical sides. The first song that she played on the piano which was dedicated to her father was entitled “Stay With Me.” Next she played a special rendition of Happy Birthday for Super Engingeer Drop that was in the house. Giel followed with a nice vibe and then turned into a reggae flow which sounded phenomenal.

Giel ended the show by performing her first single “Always Ur Baby” with a special appearance from Webbz. After an energetic and soulful 45 minute performance, Giel shows why she is the Rising Princess of Soul. Giel will definitely be making a lot of noise in the coming months. With a variety of musical styles and talents, Giel will be a major force for the rest of 2006.
